The San Francisco Deltas will kick off their inaugural NASL season with a home matchup against Indy Eleven on Saturday, March 25th, 2017 at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco.
“We are looking forward to a special night in San Francisco,” said NASL Interim Commissioner Rishi Sehgal. “The amount of work put in by the Deltas ownership and staff over the course of the last year to build their club has been incredible. March 25 will kick off the future of the club and ignite the passion of San Francisco soccer fans.”
The league will play a 16 game spring and fall season schedule. Each team will play a home and away game. However, because of an unbalanced schedule, the Deltas will play two additional games against another league team.
In the Spring Season, the Deltas will play FC Edmonton three times and Indy Eleven three times.
In the Fall Season, the Deltas will play FC Edmonton three times and Miami FC three times.
The Deltas will be playing all of their home games at Kezar Stadium on Saturday evening at 7 pm except for three games: Friday, May 19th against Jacksonville at 7:30 pm, Sunday, July 2nd vs. Miami FC at 5:30 pm and Wednesday, October 11th vs. Indy Eleven at 7:30 pm.
“We’ve always said the fans come first so this is an exciting day for us to be able to give our fans clarity around when games will be played,” explained SF Deltas CEO Brian Andrés Helmick. “We’re working really hard to get ready for Opening Night at Kezar Stadium on March 25.”
