
Sporting brand new uniforms and a new logo, The Town FC played their first-ever game on the road in Southern California but came up short to the home side, Ventura County FC, 2-1.
Ventura opened the scoring in the 27th minute with a strike from Tucker Lepley. The Town responded nine minutes after the half when TFC’s Rylie Lynch stole the ball off the foot of a Ventura defender and converted his unopposed shot in the box.
Ventura retook the lead in the 78th minute when Alex Essengue converted a header on a corner kick.

Next up for The Town is a trip up the coast to face Timbers2 on Friday, March 22, at 7:30 p.m. at Providence Park in Portland, Oregon.
