Days before St. Patrick’s Day, the San Francisco Glens announced a multi-year shirt sponsorship deal with the iconic Irish stout beer Guinness.
Starting this year, the Guinness logo will appear prominently on the jerseys of the team’s USL League 2 and USL W League teams. The team also announced Guinness will work with the club on community events celebrating soccer and enhanced exposure for their clubs through digital content.
“We’re thankful that Guinness has chosen to partner with our club, as we feel there is no better partner and time to embark on this special, multi-year strategic partnership,” said SF Glens Executive Director Mike McNeill. “With the Bay Area hosting the upcoming 2024 Copa América and 2026 World Cup and our Treasure Island facility set to inaugurate this year, we understand that this is a pivotal time for our club and for the sport in our community.”
The SF Glens new kits will be unveiled to the public later this month. The club and the beer maker will also be hosting an invite-only kick-off partnership event at Johnny Foley’s Irish House on March 14.
