NASL announced today that Jackson, the speedy Brazillian winger for the SF Deltas, was suspended for two games because of violent conduct during last weekend’s game against the Jacksonville Armada.

The suspension most likely happened during the first half when Jackson went down in the box attempting to score. As he was falling, he appeared to use his feet to kick an Armada defender. The suspension will keep Jackson out for this weekend’s game against Indy Eleven and next week’s home match against the NY Cosmos. He will be available on May 6th for an away game at North Carolina FC.

The Deltas, currently sitting in second place behind the Armada (1-2-0, 5 points), will try and get a result this weekend in Indianapolis. Indy Eleven has not lost a game at home since October 17, 2015. They can set the NASL record for most home consecutive matches unbeaten this weekend with a tie or win.

“Playing Indy away will be one of our biggest challenges thus far,” said Deltas coach Marc Dos Santos. “I think our guys have the right mentality and level of concentration to get a good result. We will need to stay focused on our principles to succeed.”
